New Dutch Defense Minister Dylan Yesilgoes-Zegerius did not rule out the possibility of sending Dutch troops to Ukraine if peace agreements are reached, APA reports.
"I'm not ruling out this possibility. But, like my predecessor, I'm in no rush to say yes or no, because this issue needs to be carefully weighed," she said in an interview with De Telegraaf following the first substantive meeting of the new cabinet under Prime Minister Rob Jetten. She added that when considering such a move, the specific circumstances, the format of the operation, and the existence of an appropriate mandate must be taken into account. For now, the minister added, The Hague's priority remains military support for Kyiv and ensuring the security of the Netherlands itself.
