The head of the legal commission of the Latvian Seimas, the leader of the Conservative faction, MP Yuris Yurash has waived from his mandate to fight voluntarily in Ukraine, APA reports citing Ukrinform.

"We say that Ukraine is now fighting not only for its freedom but also for our freedom, especially for Latvia and the European Union. I think it is our duty to do everything possible to contribute to our common victory," Yurash stated.

The deputy has already submitted his resignation.
