Great Britain’s exit from the European Union will strengthen role of the NATO in the Europe, Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of the NATO, said during his visit to New Zealand, APA reports.
“Brexit will make NATO more important factor to protect unity of the European and Northern America states, as Great Britain and other European countries will be member of the Alliance as previous times”, Mr. Stoltenberg stated.
He also noted that Brexit will not effect to the Britain’s NATO membership: “Regardless of the Brexit’s date, Great Britain will stay as a very essential and key partner of the NATO.”
