Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced on Tuesday the country will introduce new measures for travelers from China in an effort to curb the latest surge in COVID-19 cases, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Kishida noted that travelers from China will be required to take coronavirus tests upon arrival. Furthermore, Japan will place a limit on airlines' requests to increase the number of flights to and from China.
The new measure will take effect on December 30.
