Georgia will allocate USD 20 million for geological research on the seabed for the purpose of the Black Sea submarine electricity cable, Georgian Minister of Finance Lasha Kutsishvili wrote on Facebook, APA’s Georgia bureau reports.
He noted that his country will be the first to invest in the project.
According to the minister, geological research will be started next year.
Lasha Kutsishvili noted that the project is an initiative of Georgia, and negotiations were held with international financial partners regarding its financing over the past 18 months.
