Brussels is pursuing a policy of refusing dialogue with the Georgian government, said the Chairman of the Georgian Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, APA’s local bureau reports.
According to him, Georgia not being invited to the European Union (EU) enlargement summit is a continuation of that policy.
“I believe this policy is ill-considered and illogical. I hope this policy will change soon. If Brussels wants to see Georgia and the Georgian people as part of the European family, it must talk to the government elected by the Georgian people,” Samkharadze added.
It should be noted that the EU enlargement summit will be held in Brussels on November 18.
Recall that Georgia was also not invited to the ministerial meeting on regional security organized by the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg last month.
