Iran is preparing to extend the range of its ballistic missiles to as much as 15,000 kilometers, The Times of India reported, citing Abdolnabi Mousavi, a representative of Iran's Supreme Leader.
According to Mousavi, developing a missile with such a range could potentially give Iran the capability to strike the continental United States.
Mousavi Fard also called for "revenge" against Israel and called for the killing of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He said Iranian missiles already have the capability to reach Jerusalem.
Iran is reported to possess one of the largest and most diverse missile arsenals in the Middle East.
Tehran has also been developing a network of underground missile facilities, unmanned aerial vehicles and hypersonic systems.
