"Georgia supports peace in the South Caucasus and makes relations with Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Türkiye stronger," said Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili at "Ambassadors - 2024" conference of diplomats, accredited in the country, APA reports citing 1tv.ge.
President has also added that politics will be developed much more. Kavelashvili has also touched upon Georgia-the US relations.
According to the new leader of this country, the expectations of the new government from relations with the United States are to overcome discords between the countries and develop cooperation in all areas:
"Our country is interested in strengthening stability in the South Caucasus. To this end, Georgia is further developing relations with Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Armenia. Our country is making significant efforts in this regard. Our priority with the United States remains unchanged. We expect the Trump Administration to eliminate misunderstandings in bilateral relations, as well as to implement the priorities set out in the Charter on Strategic Partnership."
