Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili stated on Monday that the government’s policy and actions have demonstrated “that we respect all countries, the sovereignty of all countries, but we love our country the most," APA's Georgian bureau reports.
In his speech at the ambassadors’ conference, the PM went on to say that “it is not pleasant to listen to the statements of the Ukrainian government representatives, however, since the country is at war, the Georgian government does not want to comment on this topic.”
“Our main task is to protect our own national interests. Naturally, the role of you, the ambassadors, in this great matter is special so that we can correctly convey our message to the capitals, correctly represent the country's interests, and correctly and effectively deal with the disinformation campaign, which unfortunately stems not only from our country but also from other countries. We are well aware that this is an orchestrated attack on our country’s national interests. Therefore, this attack, disinformation needs effective countermeasures”, the PM asserted.
