"My first dream was visiting Karabakh when the trilateral statement was signed," said Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe Dunja Mijatović during the spring session of PACE, APA's bureau in Europe reports.
"But as far as I know, the only body, which has an authority to visit Karabak and which is mentioned in the agreement is United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. As far as I know, they have not been able to do it yet," stressed Commissioner.
According to her, she is ready to work with bodies, and governments of both countries.
Dunja Mijatović has noted that it is time to look forward, it is time for reconciliation and it can only be obtained with mutual respect and understanding.
She has added that she has given her recommendations in several fields, in which the Council of Europe is good, such as missing people, transition to peace.
