A visa facilitation agreement may be signed between the EU and Belarus in autumn of the current year, APA reports citing official website of CAPA.

In the meeting with Belarusian Foreign Minister we talked that the EU and Belarus might sign the visa facilitation deal in autumn. However exact date has been decided,” Andrea Wiktorin, the head of the European Union Delegation to Belarus, said.

According to her, Federica Mogherini, the representative of the EU on security and foreign policy field, is expected to visit Minsk related to the signing the Agreement.

She stated that despite differences in minds, much has been achieved in relations between Belarus and the European Union. For example, we have set up a coordinating group, which meets semi-annually to discuss various issues related to human rights, trade, economic development, customs matters. It is important that experts discuss these issues in close collaboration.
