Georgia exported 79 250 heads of horned cattle to Azerbaijan last year, APA’s local bureau reports citing National Food Agency’s statement.
According to the statement, in the previous year, Georgia exported 127 139 heads of cattle in total, and 47 889 heads of them were exported to Iraq.
The statement says the decrease in the number of cattle has led to price rise in meat products. The price of the meat was 18 GEL per kilogram of meat. However, in July, the price increased by 2 GEL and reached 20 GEL.
