Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said that work is continuing in Geneva within the framework of the negotiation process, APA reports.

Umerov wrote on his X account that a bilateral meeting with the American delegation — including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner — has begun.

According to him, Davyd Arakhamia, Oleksii Sobolev, and Daryna Marchak are also part of the Ukrainian delegation.

Umerov noted that together with the government’s economic team, they will thoroughly work on a “prosperity package,” including mechanisms for economic support and Ukraine’s recovery, tools to attract investment, and frameworks for long-term cooperation.

He added that preparations for the next round of trilateral negotiations involving the Russian side will also be discussed in order to synchronize positions ahead of that stage.

The humanitarian track and the issue of possible exchanges are also on the agenda. “We expect concrete results regarding the return of our citizens,” Umerov stressed.

He emphasized that the Ukrainian side is focused on practical solutions and will inform the public about the outcomes after the meeting concludes.
