The Moscow Tverskoi Court ruled in absentia to arrest the former leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova, Vladimir Plakhotniuk, on charges of organizing a criminal community, APA reports citing Tellerreport.
“To satisfy the investigation petition, to elect Plakhotnyuk a preventive measure in the form of detention in absentia,” the judge ruled.
According to the investigation, Plakhotnyuk resides in the territory of the United States.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in absentia accused Plakhotnyuk of smuggling and selling drugs and organizing a criminal community.
