Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak is expected to visit Turkey on Sunday. He will meet with Turkish Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. The ambassador’s arrival supposed to relate to Barak’s visit.
On January 11, Israeli foreign ministry invited the Turkish ambassador to express protest against anti-Jewish campaign in the Turkish TV series “Alley of Wolvesâ€. There was diplomatic scandal during the meeting. The deputy foreign minister of Israel Danny Ayalon didn’t welcome the ambassador, who was offered to take seat at lower sofa. Ayalon told journalists in Hebrew that “they wanted to show him that he is in lower position and to put only flag on the tableâ€.
