Bulgarian journalist murdered

Baku â€“ APA. Controversial Bulgarian journalist Bobi Tsankov, countryâ€™s new mafia stories writer, was shot dead in downtown Sofia Tuesday, Sofia News Agency reports.
Tsankov has recently published articles in low profile Bulgarian tabloids claiming that he had been a witness or a direct participant in important dealings in Bulgariaâ€™s criminal world.
Bobi Tsankov has recently started to become known as the countryâ€™s new mafia stories writer, following in the footsteps of Georgi Stoev who was shot in Sofia April 2008. Stoev also gave an interview for â€œGoreshtoâ€ shortly before his death.
Many Bulgarian media commentators have already drawn parallels between the murders of Bobi Tsankov and Georgi Stoev.
Stoev was shot dead in Sofia in April 2008 after publishing several novels with real and fictional characters from the Bulgarian mafia, after he spent several years as a gangster himself back in the 1990s. No one has been charged or sentenced for Stoevâ€™s murder.
