Baku. Musa Ahmadov, Yegane Lachinzade - APA-Economics. Capacity of energy system of the country rose 40% recent years, said the Energy Minister Natig Aliyev at the “10 years of development: 2004-2014” conference.
According to him, the increase of capacity of the energy system allows to produce 21-24 bln kVt/h per year and it exceeds maximum demand of the republic 25-27%.
Aliyev noted that per head energy reached 2,220 kVt/h: “Azerbaijan built 10 power stations during these years. Newly-built station in Nakhchivan started to export energy to Turkey. The energy imported by Azerbaijan until 20085 exceeded export some times. Recent years, the export energy exceeded imported energy 5.-6 times”.
