Georgia wants Russia and western countries to participate in project on establishment of energy center in Black Sea

Baku. Rufat Ahmadzade – APA. Georgia wants Russia and western countries to participate in project on establishment of energy center in Supsa, said the former president of International Oil Corporation Georgi Chanturiya, APA reports quoting Gruziya Online website.

According to him, the project costs $17 bln. The project firstly envisages construction of Oil Refinery in Supsa.

Thereafter, it’s planned to construct petro-chemical complex, Chanturiya said.

“Georgia itself may show initiative for restoration of this project, the country is ready for it. We’ll be a energy distributing center of Black Sea and Caspian States. Connection of Russia’s energy potential to this project is real and useful. On the other hand, we’ll meet requirements of European energy structures accounted for 2020 perspectives”, he said.
