In January–September of this year, 2.1 billion cubic meters of associated gas from the “Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli” (ACG) oil and gas field block were delivered to the State of Azerbaijan, mainly to SOCAR, via the Sangachal terminal and facilities at “Neft Dashlari,” which is 16.7% more in an annual comparison, APA-Economics reports, citing BP’s report on the results of its activities in Azerbaijan for the first nine months of the current year.
According to the document, during the reporting period, an average of 8 million cubic meters of gas per day from ACG was supplied to SOCAR.
“The remaining portion of the produced associated gas was reinjected into the reservoir to maintain pressure,” the report notes.
Note that a part of the associated gas produced in ACG is provided to SOCAR free of charge.
Recall that the ACG production sharing is as follows: BP – 30.37% (operator), AzACG (SOCAR) – 31.65%, MOL – 9.57%, Inpex – 9.31%, ExxonMobil – 6.79%, TPAO – 5.73%, Itochu – 3.65%, and ONGC Videsh Ltd. (OVL) – 2.92%.
