The American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday reported a decrease of 2.675 million barrels of crude oil in U.S. inventories for the week ending April 14, APA-Economics reports citing Xinhua.
Analysts expected a drop of 2.464 million barrels for this week.
The API reported a hike of 0.377 million barrels in the previous week.
U.S. oil prices edged up slightly on Tuesday as the market digested the latest macroeconomic data from major economies.
