"Azerbaijani gas is an important resource. As you know, Azerbaijani oil and natural gas has been importing to our region for many years. I hope that we will be able to establish long-term and good cooperation with Azerbaijan in the gas market," said Minister of Economy of Slovak Republic Karel Hirman before the signing ceremony of the memorandum on the supply of Azerbaijani gas through the Solidarity Ring in Sofia, APA's correspondent assigned to Bulgaria reports.
The minister stressed that Slovakia is ready for this: "We have great corridor opportunities, and at the same time, we have connectors to transfer to our neighbors, such as the Czech Republic and Poland. That is, we can be a good partner for Azerbaijan in the distribution of gas, so that Azerbaijani gas reaches other points in Europe. We have good capacity with respect to large gas storages. Therefore, we think that Azerbaijan, SOCAR can be a good partner for us."
