A media tour was organized regarding the works on the section of the Baku-Alat–Gazakh–Georgia state border highway passing through Yevlakh city, APA reports.
Mahir Babayev, an engineer at the Azerbaijan State Agency of Automobile Roads, informed media tour participants about the ongoing works.
It was noted that the total length of the pedestrian crossing will be 48 meters, of which 37 meters is covered. The total length of the 7-meter-wide access roads is 3.2 kilometers. “The reinforced concrete works on one part of the pedestrian crossing are near completion. 90% of the work on the access roads has been completed, with final finishing works underway,” Babayev said.
On June 23, President Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with the works on this section of the highway passing through Yevlakh city.
