The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) under the Department of Energy has updated its forecast for global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons for 2025–2026, APA-Economics reports, citing the EIA’s monthly report.
This year, the average global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons is expected to amount to 105.98 million barrels, which is 0.11 million barrels higher than the previous forecast.
At the same time, the EIA estimates that next year, global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons will reach 107.37 million barrels (previous forecast – 107.17 million barrels).
According to the report, in 2024, the daily production of liquid hydrocarbons amounted to 103.17 million barrels, which is 1.12 million barrels more compared to the 2023 figure (102.02 million barrels).
Recall that in 2022, the average global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons was 99.99 million barrels. In 2021, this indicator was 95.7 million barrels, in 2020, 93.84 million barrels, and in 2019, it amounted to 100.61 million barrels.
