The 62nd meeting of the Governing Council of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) is being held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
The meeting will discuss the organization's financial statements, strategic plans, the activities of working groups on environmental auditing and sustainable development goals, as well as cooperation with INTOSAI. At the same time, the election of ASOSAI representatives to the INTOSAI Governing Board for 2025–2031 and the appointment of an INTOSAI external auditor for 2026–2028 will be on the agenda.
In general, important events will be held in Baku on July 17-19 within the framework of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) and the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI). The events will be hosted by the Chamber of Accounts of Azerbaijan.
A joint meeting of ASOSAI and ARABOSAI will be held on July 18. Opening speeches will be delivered at the event by the supreme audit institutions of Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan. Experiences from Kuwait, Korea, Tunisia, Morocco, Thailand and the UAE will be presented on audit responses to climate change and green infrastructure initiatives.
In addition, experiences from Azerbaijan, Pakistan, India and Iran will be shared with presentations on the application of artificial intelligence in audit activities.
