In the first quarter of this year, Azerbaijan's electricity, gas, and steam production, distribution, and supply sector produced goods and services worth 1,018.5 million manats, marking a 1.2% year-on-year increase, APA-Economics reports citing the State Statistical Committee.
The sector's performance during the reporting period also showed growth in comparison with the same period in 2024.
Additionally, in the water supply, waste treatment, and processing sector, the value of produced goods was 141.5 million manats, reflecting a 3% increase compared to the previous year's figures.
In contrast, last year, the value of goods and services produced in Azerbaijan's electricity, gas, and steam production sector amounted to 3,137.3 million manats, representing a 1.7% decrease compared to 2023.
As for the water supply, waste treatment, and processing sector, the value of products produced in 2024 reached 628.4 million manats, an increase of 2.7% year-on-year.
