In January-July of this year, 23,423.8 million cubic meters of gas were transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, a 1.9% decrease compared to the corresponding indicator of the previous year, State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.
According to the information, 56.4% of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline.
Gas produced in the "Shah Deniz" gas-condensate field is exported through this pipeline.
Thus, 13,217.2 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline during the reporting period (a 1.54% decrease).
Recall that last year, 40,348.3 million cubic meters of gas were transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, a 2.7% increase compared to the previous year. 56.6% of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline. During the reporting period, 22,851.9 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline, which is an increase of 4.3% year-on-year.
