Azerbaijan sharply increases electricity exports

In January-June of this year, Azerbaijan exported 709.9 million kWh of electricity, which is 59.9% more compared to the same period last year, APA-Economics reports, citing the operational data from the Ministry of Energy.

According to the data, during the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 81.1 million kWh of electricity, which is 15.9% less compared to the same period last year.

It is noted that, according to preliminary data for the first half of 2025, electricity production in the republic amounted to 13,849.3 million kWh, increasing by 2.2% or 291.5 million kWh.
