In the second quarter of this year, the average daily crude oil production in Azerbaijan was at the level of 450 thousand barrels, which means a 4.3% decrease compared to the corresponding period of 2024, APA-Economics reports citing the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) under the U.S. Department of Energy.
According to the report, compared to the figures of the first quarter of this year, daily oil production in Azerbaijan decreased by 4.3% in the April-June period.
In the second quarter of last year and the first quarter of the current year, the mentioned figure was at the level of 470 thousand barrels.
The document states that last year, the average daily oil production in Azerbaijan amounted to 480 thousand barrels.
According to the information, in the second quarter of this year, the average daily crude oil production among the OPEC+ countries (an initiative to reduce oil production involving OPEC and non-OPEC countries) was 35.94 million barrels, of which 21.76 million barrels accounted for OPEC and 14.19 million barrels for non-OPEC countries participating in the agreement. In the second quarter of last year, these figures were 35.77 million barrels, 21.56 million barrels, and 14.22 million barrels, respectively.
Note that Azerbaijan is also a participant in the OPEC+ agreement.
