"Azerbaijan has significant gas reserves and is ready to increase exports of 'blue' fuel," Orkhan Zeynalov, Deputy Minister of Energy, said at the "Innovative Pathways to a Greener Future: Renewable Energy and Emission Reduction" event held at ADA University, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, Azerbaijan continues to be a strategic supplier of traditional energy resources to European and global markets.
Zeynalov noted that Azerbaijan has increased its support to Europe's energy system over the past four years and will continue to do so. However, to further enhance this support, financial backing from international institutions and long-term contracts are needed.
"Azerbaijan possesses vast gas reserves, and we are ready to contribute to the broader energy security of the region," emphasized the deputy minister.
He also stated that the country is actively investing in "green" energy projects alongside traditional energy sources.
