Nearly 655.2 million tons of oil (including condensate) and 476.8 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced since the time "Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli" (ACG) and "Shah Deniz" fields, in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, have been comissioned, until April 1, 2025, the Ministry of Energy told APA-Economics.

605.6 million tons of oil and 233.2 billion cubic meters of gas have been extracted from ACG, while 49.6 million tons of condensate and 243.6 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced from Shah Deniz.

The report states that from the aforementioned fields since the time they have been comissioned until April 1, 2025, approximately 653.2 million tons of oil and 174.8 billion cubic meters of gas have been transported for export.

It is noted that in the first quarter of 2025, based on operational data, 6.9 million tons of oil (including condensate) were produced in the country. Of this production, 4 million tons came from ACG, 1 million tons (condensate) from Shah Deniz, and 0.14 million tons (condensate) from the Absheron field. SOCAR's oil (including condensate) production amounted to 1.8 million tons.

“During the quarter, 5.7 million tons of oil (including condensate) were transported for export. Of this, 4.9 million tons belonged to the consortia, 0.7 million tons to SOCAR, and 0.14 million tons to the Absheron field,” the report says.

According to the report, in the January-March 2025 period, 12.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced in the country. Of this gas, 3.4 billion cubic meters came from ACG, 6.8 billion cubic meters from Shah Deniz, 0.4 billion cubic meters from the Absheron field, and 2 billion cubic meters from SOCAR.

“During the reporting period, gas exports amounted to 6 billion cubic meters. Of this, 3 billion cubic meters were exported to Europe, 2.3 billion cubic meters to Türkiye (including 1.4 billion cubic meters via TANAP), and 0.7 billion cubic meters to Georgia,” the report states.
