According to him, the Turkish government has prioritized the promising projects in the defense industry for several years with the possibility of Azerbaijan’s participation in some of them.
“Involvement in these projects with a view of meeting the needs of the Armed Forces is very significant for the development of military industry. Azerbaijan’s economic position allows its participation in major projects in the military sphere,†he added.
He said Azerbaijan’s presence in projects such as New Generation Wireless Systems (Yeni Nesil Telsiz), Altay National Tank, MILGEM Boat, Pilotless Vehicle, Modernized Infantry Rifle will be decided at a meeting scheduled to June, 2009.
