Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan crude oil production drops 50 %

Exports of Azeri crude from the Turkish port Ceyhan are expected to drop by 213 kb/d in January to reach 568 kb/d, a source from the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline consortium said earlier this week. Of January’s total scheduled loadings, some 3 mln.bbl. have been deferred from December, APA reports quoting Haberturk

“Price fall in world market decreased crude oil production and purchase in oil exporting countries.
“Economic value of oil is not above 25-30 dollars at present. Oil exporting countries are coordinated with 30-dollar oil per barrel forgetting about 147-dollar per barrel”, said in a report.
BP-Azerbaijan Company told APA that Central Azeri platform in Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields does not conclude work and it caused decrease of crude oil production. President of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev told that the platform will be brought online late in December. BP-Azerbaijan officials stated that four platforms will be launched in Azeri-Chirag –Guneshli next year.
