Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. “The rally of the National Council scheduled for October 27 must be held in accordance with the requirement of freedom of assembly. Our patience is not unlimited,” deputy executive secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Siyavush Novruzov told APA.
Novruzov said that the law strictly prohibits various challenges against state and government, offensive and defamatory expressions on someone: “If anyone uses them in the rally, he or she will be answered within the law. Official warning has been issued in this regard, because the organizers of the rally will bear responsibility for such expressions.”
YAP official said that they want to warn members of the National Council about the legitimacy through the media: “If they intend to disrespect the legitimacy again, let them know that we are losing our patience.”
Novruzov said that they had received serious information that a provocation is planned in the rally: “We have precise information that the opposition developed a subversive group for the rally. They aim to stir up clashes in the rally and impose the responsibility on the authorities.”
He said the relevant bodies had already been informed in this regard: “We and the relevant bodies had already been informed that they intend to stir up clashes in the rally by the subversive group and impose the responsibility on the authorities. We want to inform them through the media that we are aware of the issue. Organizers of the rally will be responsible for any illegal actions.”
