According to him, Guliyev’s resignation is related with the lack of success by Azerbaijan’s opposition during 20 years: “Rasul Guliyev considers that the failure of the opposition was caused by the old-minded leaders in the political arena. The resignation of the party leader is a step towards other leaders. Regardless of the reason, persons, who have failed to achieve successes and have been holding the post of party leader for a long time, should draw a lesson from Guliyev’s step.”
In his video interview posted on Facebook account, Guliyev said that it would not be right to be a leader of the Open Society Party under these circumstances.
