The head of state said that politicians giving populist promises cause problems for their people.
“You - young people are politicians of the future. Politicians give various promises during the elections, saying that they will increase salaries, pensions. If elected, they should keep these promises. They receive funds from international financial institutions in this regard. This debt leads the countries to a difficult situation and it ends in reduction of jobs, pensions and salaries. Therefore, politicians must address reality. In this case, it is possible to attract investors to the country,” he said.
President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan continues carrying out reforms:
“Azerbaijan's economy is one of the world's fastest growing economies. The unemployment rate has been reduced to a minimum in the country. Azerbaijan has a sustainable economy. The Youth Forum participants will have the opportunity to learn more about Azerbaijan, a young, rapidly developing country. Young people are dynamic part of the community,” President Aliyev added.
