Baku – APA. Prime Minister of Greece Antonis C. Samaras has sent a letter of congratulations to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports quoting AzerTAc. The letter says: “I would like, following our telephone conversation, to warmly congratulate you, once again, on your victory at the recent Presidential elections. It is with great pleasure to note that during your tenure, our bilateral relations have entered a new phase, based on mutual respect and shared interests. Earlier this year, during my visit to Azerbaijan, we had the opportunity to express our common political will to expand our multifaceted cooperation, especially in the fields of energy and investments. In this context, may I once again reiterate that the recent decision of the Shah Deniz Consortium on the selection of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) Project constitutes a vital step towards building a strategic partnership between our two countries.
I wish to assure you that Greece will continue working, both bilaterally and as an EU member, with the aim of further deepening our relations, to the benefit of our two countries and peoples.”
