Ahmadov said that it is a part of the party's election tactics: “Various dates were disseminated by media outlets. But all of them are groundless,” he said.
The deputy PM said the process of nominating and registering candidates is simple enough and therefore the publication of the list of candidates on Sept.15 can’t be considered overdue. “There is enough time for the registration of all the nominees,” he noted.
Assessing the YAP list, Ahmadov said that first of all he thinks the list is optimistic and fair.
“This list represents the party’s self-confidence and internal solidity. I consider our stated list lucky in the long run. With the stated list, YAP in the first place expresses satisfaction with its own deputy corps. The majority of the deputies representing YAP in parliament have justified the confidence of both the party and the voters. Perhaps, appointment of the party’s several MPs to positions in executive structures and their election to leadership in the international organization are enough as evidence for what I have said,” he noted.
Ahmadov said there are enough new names on the list. “In the parliamentary elections of 2010, our party gained 72 mandates. In 2015, we nominated candidates on 117 constituencies. As you can see, there sufficient conditions for new candidates to be nominated and we have did our best to make the most of that chance,” he said.
