Armenia has already launched the process of restoring the Gyumri–Akhurik and Yeraskh (Arazdayan) railway sections, Armenpress reports.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told journalists that the work would be carried out.
"We will implement these works. As for the remaining sections of the railway, we will continue business discussions, including with our Russian partners," Pashinyan said.
The prime minister stressed that at a time when international railway routes are being developed across the region, the country cannot remain merely an observer while those routes bypass Armenia.
"That cannot happen. Let us note that these railways are the property of the Republic of Armenia, and we must manage our own property ourselves," Pashinyan added.
