Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Thomas Melia and representative of the U.S. Department of State Wendy Silverman have met with chairmen of some parties at the US Embassy in Azerbaijan.
Citizen and Development Party (CDP) told APA that chairman of the CDP Ali Aliyev, Hope Party Igbal Agazade, Open Society Party (OSP) Sulhaddin Akbar, Musavat Party Isa Gambar, Azerbaijan Liberal Party (ALP) Avaz Temirkhan, Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (PFP) Ali Kerimli and the representative of the Public Chamber Mehriban Vezir attended the meeting.
The current state and prospects of US-Azerbaijan relations, socio-political situation in Azerbaijan, upcoming presidential elections and democracy-related issues were thoroughly discussed at the meeting with party leaders.
