Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Annexes are being made to the Code of Criminal Procedure to apply some statuses of the Azerbaijani President to former president or his/her spouse (husband).
The Azerbaijani Parliament told APA that in this regard, annexes are proposed to articles 11.3, 209.2.13 and 215.3.2.
According to the annexes, as envisaged for Azerbaijan's President, investigation is to be launched immediately in case of assassination attempt against former president or his/her spouse (husband). According to another annex, as envisaged for Azerbaijan's President, primary investigation of the criminal cases launched on the accusation of former president or his/her spouse (husband) can be conducted only by the prosecutor’s office.
The draft law has already been recommended to the Azerbaijani Parliament’s plenary meeting by the Committee on Legal Policy and State Building.
