Azerbaijani Parliament passes decisions on appointment of judges

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Azerbaijani Parliament has considered the issue on the appointment of judges of the Supreme Court, Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Sumgayit Court of Appeal. APA reports that the Parliament has approved the proposal on the appointment of Islam Aliyev, the judge of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Ilham Jafarov, the deputy chairman of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as the judges of the Supreme Court of the Azerbaijan Republic.

The parliament has also passed a decision to confirm the proposal on the re-appointment of Ilgar Mirzayev, the judge of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and Huseyn Nabiyev, the judge of Sumgayit Court of Appeal whose terms of office will end on January 2, 2013.
