Abbasov’s son, MP Aydin Abbasov told APA that his father was received by President Ilham Aliyev on December 25.
But the MP didn’t give detailed information about the meeting: “Abbas Abbasov has been already returned to Moscow. The meeting was normal. As I said before, my family has always supported the policy of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev and will support.”
Abbasov is a member of the Coordination Council of the newly-established Union of Azerbaijani Organizations in Russia. The All-Russia Azerbaijanis Congress expressed its dissatisfaction with the establishment of this organization. It is reported that these issues were discussed at the meeting between the President and Abbas Abbasov.
