Khanlar Veliyev: “We are working on delivering materials about the tortures of Armenian-captured Azerbaijanis to the international communityâ€

Illegal actions against Azerbaijani soldier Rafig Hasanov, who is in Armenian captivity now, in the military unit, where he served, is investigated as a criminal case, Military Prosecutor of Azerbaijan Republic Khanlar Veliyev told journalists, APA reports. He said those, who admitted illegal actions against Hasanov were brought to justice. Veliyev said facts of tortures against Azerbaijanis in Armenian captivity were also investigated. “Several years ago the General Prosecutor’s Office, Ministry of National Security and Interior Ministry issued joint order about establishing of investigative group to investigate the crimes conducted by Armenians. The group investigated Armenian crimes and in 2005 the Military Prosecutor’s Office was ordered to continue this work and investigation is going on. Previous and following torture actions, as well as the facts of death, are investigated now. We are working now on delivering of these materials to the international community. I think we will achieve positive result. It is very difficult and long processâ€.
