Gulamhuseyn Alibayli: â€œNo one had a role in my decisionâ€

Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. â€œI am not going to comment on the views about me at the meeting of the Presidium of Popular Azerbaijan Front Party,â€ former chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Popular Azerbaijan Front Party Gulamhuseyn Alibayli told APA. Alibayli mentioned that he had said he would not answer the views and accusations after his resignation.
â€œI do not care how my act will be assessed, I will not take a stance on them. I am going the way I think is right, no one had a role in my decision,â€ he said.

Gulamhuseyn Alibayliâ€™s leaving the party and putting forward his candidacy were discussed at the recent meeting of Presidium of Popular Azerbaijan Front Party. Members of the presidium said it seemed he had taken this step under the influence of the authorities. It was noted that if Gulamhuseyn Alibayli had resigned in order to leave the politics or enter another political party, it would be regarded as normal.
â€œBut he protested against the boycott policy and put forward his candidacy, it shows that he took this step under the influence of the authorities and betrayed the struggle of Popular Azerbaijan Front Party against the authorities and principles of the party,â€ he said.

Members of the Presidium also said that Gulamhuseyn Alibayli sacrificed his 20-year struggle in the Popular Front Party to the corporate interests and regretted that he had become a tool in the policy of artificial alternative in the elections.
