Ali Karimli: â€œPeople and opposition are not active at present time while the international organizations demanding democracy from the Governmentâ€

Baku. Mahbube Gasimbeyli-APA. â€œIt is possible to carry out nationwide boycott policy in Azerbaijanâ€, said Ali Karimli, Chairman of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (AXCP), APA reports. He thinks if all will accept that elections will not be democratic, the boycott policy will prove their non-conciliation with the situation at all. Ali Karimli proposed to create coalition of the civil society and non-governmental organizations on the eve of elections. â€œIt is more difficult for the politicians to do it than NGOs functioning as democratic institutionsâ€¦â€AXCP chairman said this coalition could form model of public unity and could organize the resistance. He said international organizations put not enough efforts for the development of democracy in Azerbaijan and decisive role in the democratization process belonged to the people. â€œIt is important that the international organizations also have to take their roles in the process. The international organizations were with the government while peopleâ€™s struggle for the democracy was more principle and now when the international organizations demand democracy from the government, people and as well as opposition are not activeâ€.
Musavat leader Isa Gambar has also said that Azerbaijani people played main role in the elections and political life of Azerbaijan.
