Lala Shovkat: â€œAzadligâ€ blockâ€™s boycott decision becomes resolute

Following the resolution of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and meeting of US Assistant Secretary of State with the oppositionists, â€œAzadligâ€ block made its decision to boycott the presidential elections more resolute, said Lala Shovkat, leader of the National Unity Movement and member of the Chairs Council of the â€œAzadligâ€ block, APA reports. She said the decisions would be made officially at the Councilâ€™s meeting. â€œA new argument was included in the PACE resolution this time. The Karabakh problem was considered as a great barrier for the democracy. Then Azerbaijan will not achieve the democracy as long as Karabakh problem is not solved. Consequently the democracy shouldnâ€™t be in Israel because it is in war with Palestine for 40 years and Moldova and Georgia also canâ€™t enjoy with the democracy because of conflicts in their territories. The argument always used by the Azerbaijanâ€™s authorities was included in the PACE resolution. The West should respect its values that we can respect it tooâ€.
