The Ambassador said the press conference was connected with the business visit of Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko to Azerbaijan. The Ambassador noted that the visit would take place on June 30. Viktor Yushchenko will meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and other senior officials. The talks will focus on various spheres of cooperation between the two countries, as well as energy issues. Viktor Yushchenko will also attend the unveiling ceremony of the monument erected to Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko in Baku and will review the place allotted for Ukrainian Embassy in Khatai District. Boris Klimchuk also noted that the second volume of “Azerbaijan-Ukraine dictionary†would be presented to the presidents.
Noting that the two countries had high-level relations, the Ambassador underlined that Ukraine supported and would always support Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
