the next meeting of the Pardon Commission under President was held. Commission is working and some appeal lists have already been made, the Pardon Commission’s member Elmira Akhundova told APA.
�Those lists include family dispute offenders, Army deserters and accomplices of other crimes and are being specified now. Intensive work is going and disputes over some appeals are taking place,� she said.
Elmira Akhundova said that nearly 600 appeals have been considered by the Commission until today. The Commission’s member also said that party leaders and international organizations requested them.
�Sardar Calaloghlu requested Commission to pardon some offenders. Some lists were offered by Council of Europe and those appeals are being considered by Commission. To be frankly I do not agree with these lists. Those people are not prisoners, but concrete offenders�.
The president is expected to sign pardon decree on the eve of Novruz holiday./APA/
