Ilham Aliyev presides over meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers

While speaking on the outcomes of socio-economic development, President said the economy of Azerbaijan had increased by 1.1%, non-oil sector- by 10.3 %. $16 bln. was invested in the economy of the country over the past 9 months. 70 % of those investments are domestic. Since the beginning of the current year the strategic currency stocks have risen by $5 bln and reached $45 bln.
The Head of State said the population incomes raised by 12%, inflation made up 1.5%, average monthly salary is %500 and average pension $190. President Ilham Aliyev underlined that the common industrial production in the country had decreased recently, adding that the process had also been observed during the past 9 month. He explained the reasons.

The president of Azerbaijan stressed Azerbaijan had achieved great success in the international arena. Azerbaijan has won sympathy of the U.N. Security Council for its position, 120 members of the Non-Aligned Movement support territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Thus, 4/3 of world community sees the solution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict within the framework of principle of territorial integrity.

Following this, goernor of the Central Bank Elman Rustamov, Minister of Transport Ziya Mammadov, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Fuzuli Alakbarov reported on the work done during the past 9 months and forthcoming tasks.
