CEC receives Gular Ahmedovaâ€™s appeal on repudiation of deputy

Baku. Parvin Abbasov â€“ APA. The Central Election Commission (CEC) has received Gular Ahmedovaâ€™s appeal on voluntary repudiation of deputy today. The CEC told APA that the appeal will be considered within the appropriate time. According to the law, the appeal must be considered within the two days.

CEC chairman Mazahir Panahov will return to Azerbaijan tomorrow after monitoring the Gerogian parliamentary elections. The appeal is expected to be considered after his returning.

Taking into consideration that the Central Election Commission deals with the issue on deprivation of deputy, due to MP repudiation of deputy according to the law, the Parliament has sent the appeal on Gular Ahmedovaâ€™s voluntary repudiation to the CEC.

On September 25, Elshad Abdullayev has posted a video to the Internet on Azerbaijani MP Gular Ahmadova and Sevinj Telman Babayeva, the director of the Baku City Library after M.A.Sabir. The video shows the MP, former rector and Babayeva speaking about Abdullayevâ€™s membership to the parliament by means of a great deal of bribe. Names of the other Azerbaijani officials were also reminded in the dialogue.
